Healing in the Workplace

By Bill Dalgetty
Yes, God is quite willing to bring healing in the workplace.

Kelly, secretary for CIC member Jim, found herself in tears when she learned that her systemic scleroderma was not responding to treatment. In fact, her condition was growing worse.

Scleroderma causes a hardening of tissues and organs, a weakening of tissues and organs, a weakening of the autoimmune system and a discoloration of the skin. Her right arm had turned red, the skin was hardening and the treatments were burning her arm.

Jim asked Kelly if he could pray with her right then and there. Kelly said yes. As he began to read Scripture about God’s healing power, Steve, another CIC member, walked into the office. They both prayed with Kelly.

The following week, Kelly was supposed to have a treatment that involves blood transfusions, but the blood test showed her white cell count was normal. Within days the hardening of her arm softened and the discoloration went away. The changes were visible.

Kelly also reports that her faith in God has changed, “I have had a complete turn around. I am putting everything in God’s hands. I am not as stressed as I used to be. Even my family notices the difference.”
